We took off in a fleet of Casino.DK taxi's to a nite spot.

Good times.

Copenhagen Trip 2006

I have finally added my photos from a recent trip to Copenhagen, Denmark. My Danish friend runs Casino.dk and was holding a poker tournament which was sponsored by Purple Lounge Poker room.

I stayed at the Radisson Scandinavia which was a mile out the main town mall.

Well the place is a beautiful part of the world and I would def. love to live here.

Enjoy the pics!

ad:tech London 2006

I attended ad:tech London yesturday which is a mainstream marketing conference.

There was free seminars throughout the day where each session was jammed packed.

I sat in a few seminars including cheetah Mail, which including information on achieving a greater ROI from email marketing.

Also another seminar worth mentioning was sponsored by an up and coming search engine, Every Click, titled, How "good" is your online advertising? It's quite an interesting search model where they allocate 50% of their gross revenue to charities each month.

There were a few casino booths setup including CasinoBlasters.com, 888.com, PartyPoker.com, PokerAffiliate.com and WagerShare.com.

Hopefully next conference the VegasAffiliates.com booth will be full flight.

Melbourne Storm v Brisbane Broncos

Hot.

My Nrl team the Brisbane Broncos are in the Grand Final playing against the Melbourne Storm. The Storm have been the best team all year and deserve to be there. Brisbane have always threatned to carve up teams but lacked consistency.

They came good though when it counted and put 50 points on Newcastle in the minor semi. The came back from dead 20-6 down at half time to beat the Bulldogs 37-20 in the major semi.

Well done boys, I will be watching the game at a local Aussie pub, mostly likely the Slug at Fulham.

Go the Broncs.

Touch Football Team

I'm playing in a social touch footy team on Sunday's. The season started last week but I missed it 'cause of a big Saturday nite hangover. But I should be getting down there this week.

My old school friend from the sunny coast, Tim, is also in the team, so I'll see if we can strike up a winning combination. I haven't met anyone else yet as my first game will be this Sunday (hangover or no hangover).

Here is the team and fixture details.

Also looks like they all head down the the local Walkabout at Putney after the games, should be fun.

Beach Blanket Babylon Review

OK, I decieded to check out a few bars and clubs in my local area, Notting Hill. My old school friend Cameron was in town so we had a pub dinner then headed to the Beach Blanket Babylon for a few drinks.

Well this place from the street looked nothing more than a nice little hotel inn.

But once past the bouncer and through the main entrance the place opens up,a centre bar the main feature with drinking lounges surrounding the walls.

Some pretty hip chicks and dudes were in this place and was a tough crowd to mingle in.

We managed to bump into some cool guys, also out of towners and had a nice nite.

We left on closing time, around midnight and headed for town!

China White Club Review

Well after my dinner at Gilgamesh we kicked on to China White in SoHo. The friends i was with (a friend of my friend) had lined up an exclusive lounge area inside the bar. The place was awesome, lots of hip cats and roosters.

I was again most definitely out of my league. It's good to see how the beautiful, rich and snobberish people live. No the place wasn't too pretencios, good place to check but again be prepared to wait and pay for expensive drinks.

Gilgamesh Bar Review

Ok, I went out with friends to the Gilgamesh Bar in Camdem. Not a bad place if your into something totally lavish. Apparently the place is quite exclusive but really at the prices you are being charged for a meal and drinks , the everyday punter will steer clear of this place.

Good to place to go but bring your Mastercard.

The new wheels! I bought a second hand bike (GT Agressor Mountain Bike)

I finally bought a second hand mountain bike. The humble GT Agressor.

I found this gem on Gumtree.com, which wasn't that easy. I enquired for quite a few bikes but was always replied with, "sorry I have sold it".

I bought the bike off a South African dude in West Kensington, which worked out well. I rode the bike home to Bayswater in 20 mins, sweet!

It will be great to have wheels on local trips around town, saving on tube fares and walking around.

It's another world that i'm in over here.

As I was riding home on my humble bike through Fulham, Porches, BMWs and Maseratis were flying past me.

One day that might be me in one of them but I'd get a Hummer!
